05 / 11 / 17 - Social media giants have "moral duty" to tackle child abuse

Within this article, it explores the dangers aiming towards the younger children online which is rapidly increasing. Many of the paedophillic behaviour occurs within games where mostly the children use it. The older people go on those games to target the vulnerable unsuspected children. 

"Tech companies need to do more to combat the exponential growth in child sexual exploitation online" - Home Secretary Amber Rudd. She is going to meet the counterparts in the US government to dicuss the issue. She will also attend a roundtable discussion joined by big companies including Google, Facebook and Microsoft. The Home secretary have clarified that the work has to be more faster and quicker to act upon the problems of the vulnerability and the dangers that these children are in online. 

  • There are more than 400 arrests for indecent images of children offences in the UK. 
  • Some 500 children are being protected from online sexual exploitation, the government said. 

During Amber Rudd's trip, she will raise concerns about the use of messaging websites and apps, as well videos and images apps and websites. 

Essentially, I do believe that children are in danger online especially within games. The paedophillic behaviour mostly occurs within games online where children are most likely vulnerable and endangered.

16/09/2017 - Rise of the Electronic bike  Electronic Bikes  The electronic Bikes are rising globally in the sense that it could "help tackle congestion and make your daily commute cheaper and less stressful". An E-Bike is essentially a bicycle that consists of a battery and an electric motor which assists you when pedalling - up to 15.5 mph in the UK. Its still an exercise in terms of pedalling but it does provide that extra boost in speed. In my opinion, in terms of e-bikes being more globally known in the future, it would have a certain impact on the society in the sense that it wouldn't be as much exercise for the younger generation who need to stay fit and healthy. But for the elderly people, it is understandable because they do need that extra boost in pedalling because they are not fit and healthy like the younger generation.

29 / 10 / 17 - Hotel booking sites probed by consumer watchdog  In this article, it focuses on how the hotel booking sites such as Trivago and Booking.com are being probed by the UK's competition Watchdog due to the fact that they want to see if they are misleading their customers. They feel that rather helping consumers, the hotel booking sites are making it more difficult for them.  They are bound to investigate whether hotel booking sites are misleading consumers.
