Within this article, it talks about the new policies that YouTube are creating to be more strict towards the content that YouTubers produce and upload for the mainstream audiences. The chief executive of YouTube also speaks out on the recent events on YouTube that has led to a "significant harm" to the entire community of video-makers.
The behaviour on YouTube by some video makers was described as "egregious" as it has led to a negative impact on YouTube's brand image and reputation. With the biggest news in 2018 of YouTube, Logan Paul had been under fire due to the policy violating video of a dead body in the "suicide forest" in Japan. Through this, the YouTube image has been negatively impacted and the site has been under closer scrutiny after the video was posted.
Also, with another most recent news with the YouTuber "ItzArya", his channel was terminated due the fact that he proposedly created a prank that was faking an "acid prank" by throwing water at people's faces.
However, many of the YouTubers complained that their videos were misconcepted and misunderstood as unsuitable for advertising. YouTube creators have described the problem as "demonetisation" and "adpocalypse".
