22/09/17 Uber losing their license to carry on functioning in London The Article Link : https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/sep/22/uber-licence-transport-for-london-tfl On 22nd September, it was announced on The Guardian that the Uber company which is an American technology had lost it's license to carry on functioning in London. Uber develops, markets and operates the uber car transportation and food delivery mobile apps. The Mayor of London and TFL had decided not to license the Uber company to operate in London anymore due to the lack of corporate responsibility which relates to reporting serious criminal offences, obtaining medical certificates and driver background checks. The chief executive of Uber "Dara Khosrowshahi" did disagree with the rejection of the renewal of the license but did understand that it was due to past behaviour within the Uber company which affected reputation. In London, there are reported to be around 3.5 million users...
